ANTI-SKID BRAKING SYSTEM (TH A.B.S): This function applies the brakes so that the tires of gas-powered cars do not lose their grip on the road even when braking at corners. THROTTLE ACCELERATION (ACCEL): Gas power cars have a time lag before the clutch and brakes become effective. The throttle acceleration function reduces this time lag. THROTTLE SPEED (SPEED): Sudden trigger operation on a slippery road surface will only cause the tires to spin and the model to not accelerate smoothly. By setting the throttle speed function, the operation can be performed smoothly and easily. It also suppresses battery consumption. STEERING SPEED (SPEED): When you sense that the steering servo is too fast, etc., the servo operating speed (direction that suppresses the maximum speed) can be adjusted. RACING TIMER (TIMER): The lap timer can record 100 lap times and total time. The timer can also be started automatically by trigger operation. The race time and audible alarm can be set. Re-/fueling times are indicated by an audible alarm. An up timer is also provided. FUNCTION SELECT SWITCH (SWITCH)/DIAL FUNCTION (TRIM DIAL): This assigns functions to 2 switches and dials (digital trim, digital dial). The step amount and operating direction can also be adjusted. Trim positioning at each model call is unnecessary because all the dials are digital. TRIGGER POSITION CAN BE CHANGED: The position of the throttle trigger can be moved forward and backward. TENSION ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION: The tension of the steering wheel and throttle trigger springs can be adjusted from the outside. MECHANICAL ATL ADJUSTMENT: Make this adjustment when you want to decrease the total travel of the brake (push) side of the throttle trigger.     Have you ever been at a race and wondered how the top finishers seem to have faster motors than everyone else? One of the reasons for this is because the fast guys know how to tune their motors with different rotors.  Most motor companies now offer optional tuning rotors, but without a way to measure their magnetic strength, there is no way for you to know what strength rotor you are putting in your motor and therefore no way to fine-tune your motor correctly.  In addition, rotors are not all created equal.  Due to tolerances in the manufacturing process, some are better than others and the fast guys have figured this out.  Tuning your motor with the correct rotor is the most critical step in getting the maximum performance out of your motor. Do you know that the strength of your rotor has the single biggest effect on how your motor runs, yet most racers don’t even know what strength rotor they have in their motor?  This is like not knowing whether you have a 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engine in your real car.  This basically leaves you guessing at how to gear your car and where to set the motor timing.  Furthermore, without the correct rotor in your motor, your motor may never run up to its full potential for the application that it is being used for.     Introducing our latest motor testing tool, the Facts Machine 3S Precision Resistance / Inductance Meter!  This incredible new tool allows you to test both the resistance and inductance of your brushless motor!  This information is critical in knowing the performance capability of your motors. Did you know that knowing the inductance of your motor is just as important as knowing the resistance? Yet most racers don’t pay much attention to this.  Most racers are only concerned with getting the lowest resistance stator they can find, however, this is only half the equation in finding the best stator possible.  Inductance also plays a very important role in your motor’s performance.  The general rule of thumb is the combination of the lowest resistance and highest inductance produces the highest performance for R/C motors and the difference between these two numbers we call the “spread”.  Typically, the bigger the spread, the better the motor will perform.  For example, using common 17.5 turn numbers of 18.0 milliohms as the resistance number and 30.0 milliHenries as the inductance number, this is a spread of 12.  If you could find another 17.5, for example, with a spread of 12.5, this motor will run better on the track compared to the motor with the spread of 12.  Not knowing the “spread” basically leaves you guessing at what motor is truly best in your box. In addition, the Fantom Facts Machine 3S is not mass produced, but rather is hand-built one at a time, in the U.S.A., to the highest standards in the R/C industry.  The Facts Machine 3S calibration is double-checked for the highest accuracy possible, using 5% tolerance resistors and inductors, referenced to our shop Instek GOM-802 milliohm meter and Duoyi inductance meter, so you can feel confident that we are providing you with the most precise stator tester in R/C.  To purchase an Instek GOM-802 and quality inductance meter costs over $500, so the Facts Machine 3S is an incredible value for all serious racers. Bearing Option – If you choose the AXON X10 hybrid bearings option, we make sure the bearings seats are sized correctly before installing the bearings.  This ensures that the bearings are not squeezed or distorted when installed, which could cause extra drag or non-concentrical bearing movement.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearings correctly. Rotor Options – Choose the 13.0mm modified rotor at no extra cost, or choose the 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm optional modified rotor listed above.  There is an up-charge for the optional 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor, but you will also receive the original 13.0mm rotor if you choose the “optional” 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor.  All rotors are checked for correct bearing fit.  If required, the rotor shaft is polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly. Pro Titanium Timing Adjustment Screws Option – Eliminates the power robbing magnetic drag on the rotor that the stock steel screws cause and improves RPM, efficiency and horsepower!Increases RPM by 100+ RPM compared to the stock steel screws!Reduces weight by .26 grams compared to the stock steel screws! Rotor Strength Test Option – Your rotor is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  If we find that the rotor does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the rotor’s magnetic field strength is tested on our Fantom Facts Machine v3 rotor tester.   If you choose the printout option, the rotor test results of your rotor are supplied with your motor.  If you choose an optional rotor, we will test both of your rotors.  All modified rotors are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option. Coil Resistance Test Option – Your stator is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  With this test, we evaluate the ohms resistance of your stator to make sure it meets proper specs and to detect shorts.  Each coil is tested individually.  If we find that the stator does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the stator coils are tested on an Instek GOM-804, which is the same as ROAR uses.  If you choose the printout option, the coil test results of your stator are supplied with your motor.  All modified stators are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option. Rotor Re-Shim Option (TEFLON® shims) – As with the standard brass re-shim option above, we adjust the rotor shims so that the rotor “floats” centered properly within the magnetic field.  With this option, we also use TEFLON® shims for the outermost shims, to minimize any side-load binding between the rotor and bearings.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly.  We also make sure that it has the correct end play, so that it is not bound up or too loose. Bearing Option – If you choose the AXON X10 hybrid bearings option, we make sure the bearings seats are sized correctly before installing the bearings.  This ensures that the bearings are not squeezed or distorted when installed, which could cause extra drag or non-concentrical bearing movement.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearings correctly. Rotor Options – Choose the 13.0mm modified rotor at no extra cost, or choose the 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm optional modified rotor listed above.  There is an up-charge for the optional 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor, but you will also receive the original 13.0mm rotor if you choose the “optional” 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor.  All rotors are checked for correct bearing fit.  If required, the rotor shaft is polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly. Pro Titanium Timing Adjustment Screws Option – Eliminates the power robbing magnetic drag on the rotor that the stock steel screws cause and improves RPM, efficiency and horsepower!Increases RPM by 100+ RPM compared to the stock steel screws!Reduces weight by .26 grams compared to the stock steel screws! Rotor Strength Test Option – Your rotor is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  If we find that the rotor does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the rotor’s magnetic field strength is tested on our Fantom Facts Machine v3 rotor tester.   If you choose the printout option, the rotor test results of your rotor are supplied with your motor.  If you choose an optional rotor, we will test both of your rotors.  All modified rotors are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option. Coil Resistance Test Option – Your stator is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  With this test, we evaluate the ohms resistance of your stator to make sure it meets proper specs and to detect shorts.  Each coil is tested individually.  If we find that the stator does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the stator coils are tested on an Instek GOM-804, which is the same as ROAR uses.  If you choose the printout option, the coil test results of your stator are supplied with your motor.  All modified stators are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option.     JCO0365, 1955 Chevy Bel Air Street Eliminator Drag Racing Body (Clear) The JConcepts 1955 Chevy Bel Air Street Eliminator Drag Racing Body is a no prep replica of one of the most popular cars in the door slammer racing since. Taking on this project was not an effortless task, doing a great deal of R&D, the team went for the more race inspired style and decided to split up the design into 3 different parts. First, the main Bel Air shell has been carefully crafted via CAD and hand shaped and finish to realize the many details found on the 1955. The stunning looks, slightly modified for drag racing, create a low-profile build, racy, laid-back front grille and unmistakable front headlight section. JConcepts has designed the entire race body with the shoebox look as it was called in the 50’s. Along with the flatter straighter panels, the '55 also has modern cues like wrap-around glass on the windshield, and tail lights that jut outward. The body shell has built-in trim along the main panels which can be painted and detailed by the user to emulate the real steel. In the rear, the drop-dome roof glides toward the trunk deck which allows the 2-piece spoiler package to drop into place. Sculpted and abbreviated (race-style) bumpers are molded with the body and just like all the rest, can be painted as desired. The front hood-scoop is a separate polycarbonate piece which has a special form just to under-cut and look the size and shape as a 1:1 counterpart. Slight fender flares give the user a hint of trimming direction for the 13” wheelbase and wheel well openings. The trim lines throughout the body provide a low-profile appearance and steady guide for a clean overall look. Included in each body set, a 1955 Chevy Bel Air decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows. A front hood-scoop is also part of each body set and ready for trim, fit and finishing. As always, each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage. The Chevy Bel Air measures a 13.00" wheelbase and the inside dimensions of the body are 11.25" wide front and 12.00" rear. The body is built for a 2wd SCT wheelbase length and narrowed to more resemble the original 1:1 counterpart. It's helpful to plan your build, take measurements and modify your platform to fit inside the boundaries of the Chevy body. NOTE: The rear wing consists of two pieces, the lower section is designed with an L-shape with support ribs which require double-sided tape (not included) to attach to the back of the trunk lid. Once base is attached, apply more double-sided tape to match locations on the top wing and drop the main wing down into place. The hood-scoop is also applied with double-sided tape and it can be applied by installing 1 small strip of tape on both sides of the scoop. To finish, flex the scoop out and drop down and press firmly against tape. Photos show body mounted on Team Associated DR10.
